World Bank Project “Supporting Education Reform”

At the end of 2018, a round table “Results of monitoring and evaluating the impact of the World Bank Project “Supporting Education Reform”, organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, was held in Bishkek. CAIConsulting was invited as a performer of Component 1.1 “Providing technical support for the Kyrgyz Academy of Education, Regional Teacher Training Institutes and Regional Methodological Centers for conducting trainings for primary school teachers and deputy directors”. In the course of this Component, about 12,000 primary school teachers, deputy directors and specialists from the district and city education departments were trained.

The project impact assessment conducted by the Development Assessment Institute showed that 90.7% of primary school teachers trained in educational standards, organized by CAIConsulting, together with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, mastered innovative methods and technologies of training and assessment, and importantly, 89.4% of teachers revised their curricula in accordance with the standards, 85.5% began to apply self-assessment in work. The data on evaluating the effectiveness of the training conducted among teachers showed that 99.5% of primary school teachers put into practice the knowledge and skills obtained during the training.
