Detailed Narrative Description of Project

The project is aimed at maintaining the relevant ministries and institutes in their aspirations to increase quality of education by strengthening of regional cooperation between Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan in the field of education, and also carrying out monitoring of the academic progress of pupils.

The package of measures for distribution of already tested positive innovations will be offered to Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan. These measures include the development and application of «communication strategies» (dissemination strategies), training of teaching staff in teacher training, provision of high quality teacher training and professional development of teachers, expansion of relations of key elements of the system (schools, pedagogical institutes and institutes of teacher training).

Detailed Narrative Description of Services provided

Distribution of the tested positive innovations. During the previous period, within this project 3 educational innovations were tested: the teaching methods focused on the pupil (student-centered methods) at elementary school (Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan), at technology lessons in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, and also on natural-science subjects in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.

 

Based on the got experience, within the project consultations of the relevant Ministries of Education and educational institutions (teacher training colleges) on development of "distribution strategy" (dissemination strategies) of the tested positive innovations applicable to each concrete country are carried out. When developing "distribution strategy" results and offers of the carried-out gender analysis were taken into account and the plan of work with additional funding mechanisms is prepared.

The following significant element of "distribution strategy" this ensuring quality of the tested positive innovations through systematic monitoring of programs of professional development of teachers. This monitoring in turn became part of development of national system of monitoring of education.

Distribution of the above-designated innovations is also provided through expansion of communications of local key elements of system (schools, teacher training colleges and institutes of professional development of teachers).
